Valentine Sweetness!

A lovely presentation for Valentines or any special occasion!

Homemade Valentine card & YUMMY delicate cream wafer cookies in jars decorated with white tulle and my peach colored crocheted flowers.

What fun to have warm sunshine illuminating my kitchen and having these Spring-time flowers in bloom on my counter top on this last day of January in Minnesota! My mother shared the dark colored primrose with me. So FUN!

Handmade Header For My Blog!!

YAY!!  After many hours of trial and error I was able to create my own header/banner photo collage that bears some of my passion for this life ~ loving family, friends, creativity and beauty!  A few of my delights are gardening, baking, sharing meals with family and friends at a lovely table,  & paper crafting cards, decor, and gifts that I enjoy sharing with others.   

How grateful I am for the help of Sarah on her blog CLOVER LANE.  She  has a tutorial in which she uses Picasa to make a collage banner.  SWEET RELIEF!!

"FRIENDS" Accordion Folded Book

Hello from SNOWY Minnesota!  What a great day to share a paper crafting project with you!
This is an accordion folded or pleated book that I have made to keep photos and special remembrances about  friends that are dear to my heart!

 

Foam Core Board formed the covers.  The front and back cover paper is from 7 Gypsies Conservatory 8" X 8" Variety Pack.  On the cover I used VersaMark and heated copper embossing powder to stamp the saying and the bird on the branch from Tim Holtz's Urban Chic set.  Distress Ink from Tim Holtz stained the bias binding that ties the book closed.

Upon opening the book the pages unfold to reveal the four center squares that I stamped using Poetic Prints leaf designs from Hero Arts with VersaMark and clear embossing powder.  Then I used a blending tool and more T.H.'s Distress Ink to add soft background shading and along the page edges. 

This is the back cover where I used my own personal name stamp and date.  The tag added has flourishes that I hand stamped along with the title "CHERISH" on the front side.  On the backside I stamped with FRIENDS  from the Hero Arts Original Definitions collection.

Yes, oh YES!   I'm to be a GRANDMOTHER, OH MY!!!

OH! How EXCITED I am!!! My youngest son and his wife are blessing me with a little grandSON this coming March (or there abouts!)!! 

OH JOY!!

This news just has me all BUBBLY even though I have had the news to share for some time!
